Dear friends and fellow artists,
We are thrilled to extend a warm invitation to all of you to our upcoming festival! Dive into the vibrant world of artistry and community at our annual event, taking place from August 21st to August 30th, 2024, in the charming neighborhood of Gatow.
At the heart of our street theater festival lies the spirit of inclusivity, collaboration, and diversity. We are excited to introduce our flagship project, “Theatre Diversity,” a dynamic initiative aimed at fostering connections between local residents and artists from all corners of Europe. Whether you’re a small independent theatre group, a music ensemble, or a modern dance troupe, we welcome you to join us in Gatow for a week of creativity and cultural exchange.
During your stay, each group is required to conduct workshops and perform their music, theater plays, or dances in different parts of Gatow. Through interactive workshops and captivating performances, we aim to blur the lines between art and daily life, creating meaningful connections and deepening cultural understanding.
From the winding streets to the historic windmill, Gatow will be our canvas as we showcase performances in diverse venues across the neighborhood. Our vision is to ignite a cultural renaissance, turning Gatow into a vibrant hub of artistic expression and exchange.
In times of uncertainty, art has the power to unite, inspire, and provoke dialogue. By embracing diversity and challenging prejudice, we hope to sow the seeds of change and foster a more inclusive society. Together, let us raise our voices against isolation and division and celebrate the beauty of human connection.
As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite you to be a part of our inaugural festival. We are looking for groups who can make music, dance, theater, or circus performances. Each group should consist of 2 to 3 people.
- What we offer: Travel costs, a humble honorarium, and a place to stay.
- What we need: You to perform or give a workshop once a day, your positive energy, and your cultural background, embracing amazing diversity.
- Duration: Your stay will be for 4 evenings, with 3 of them being performance days.
